Located in Tallinn, Estonia, THORMI is leading the regional transition toward sustainable, European-sourced plant-based food innovation.

We develop and produce pea protein TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) and HME (High-Moisture Extrusion) which serve as functional plant-based core ingredients both for human-grade gourmet foods and premium pet foods.

Convenient-to-use and essentially ready-to-consume, our TVP and HME require no intensive thermal processing while delivering an outstanding texture, authentic mouthfeel, and a delicious taste experience.

THORMI technology represents the future of clean-label plant-based food – creating fibrous and juicy textures without the need for additives or binders. All THORMI products are 100% GMO-free, allergen-free, and rich in high-quality plant protein.

THORMI Gourmet Products, created from our TVP and HME, are available under the THORMI brand or as private/white label for retail sales, and in bulk packaging for foodservice and HoReCa.

The versatility of THORMI TVP and HME covers a wide range of applications:
Pulled and shredded-style products, sauces, grill and BBQ solutions, burger patties, minced-meat-style products, pâtés, sausages, nuggets, dumplings, customised pizza toppings and wrap/burrito concepts, as well as warm and cold salad components.

NB! Our “Shredded Chickenless in Coconut-Curry Sauce” made with our HME won the Gulfood Innovation Award 2025 in Dubai in the Best Ready-to-Eat Product category.

Our HME is used to produce long-shelf-life, highly nutritious and flavoursome plant-based military rations and applications for survival and emergency food kits, well suited for catering in extreme conditions and in various crisis zones.

Our Functional Pea Starch (FPS) is the new generation of high-performance functional starches.
