About us

Already in the 1930s, Gunnar Dafgård was standing in the square in Lidköping, selling meat and charcuterie. By adapting to the development of society and technology, and recognizing the needs of families for help with preparing good food, he became a pioneer in frozen food. Dafgård was the first in Sweden to prepare and sell ready-made meatballs and hand-rolled cabbage rolls, and today, it is a global food company.

Even today, we cook our food and bake our bread here in the kitchen in Källby. With the same joy for food, dedication, and strong business acumen, we will continue to make food that tastes great for at least 85 more years.
