Ferm Foods makes food from its own land.
Ferm Foods manufactures vegetarian food products with fermented fava beans as the main raw material. Thanks to fermentation, fava beans are easy on digestion and gentle on the stomach. The texture of the broad beans is firm and has a good chewing sensation. The structure withstands preparation in large batches when boiling, frying, baking and does not dissolve easily in liquid even during longer preparation times. The taste is pleasantly nutty and, thanks to fermentation, you can feel umami in the taste.

Ferm Foods’ fermented fava beans have unique properties. As one proof of that, the raw material has been awarded the Low FODMAP certificate by the Australian Monash University as the only fava bean product in the world.

We operate in a climate-resistant and responsible manner. The carbon footprint of our raw material is 0.8 CO2 eq/kg. Our products are allergen-free, gluten-free, lactose-free and additive-free. Our production focuses on a natural and short food manufacturing process.

Ferm Foods uses domestic fava beans and the products are made domestically. Production has started in 2021 at the same time as the company’s first retail products participated in the Suomen Success recipe program.

The factory is located in Keran Halli, Espoo, in the same factory as Tarhurin Papu, producer of fermented broad beans.
